Mobile-TV launches its second phase in Austria. With the start today, Mobile-TV will expand the coverage area of the new transmission standard DVB-H to include the greater areas of Bregenz, Eisenstadt, Graz, Linz and St. Pölten. MEDIA BROADCAST has supplied the regions Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Klagenfurt with DVB-H since early June 2008.

MEDIA BROADCAST opens subsidiary in Austria
MEDIA BROADCAST, owner of the Austrian frequencies for DVB-H and operator of the national Mobile-TV platform, opened a subsidiary today under the name MEDIA BROADCAST AT GmbH.

MEDIA BROADCAST puts new SNG stations for HD broadcasting into operation
MEDIA BROADCAST upgrades its SNG (Satellite News Gathering) fleet with a total of nine vehicles. All of the systems are state-of-the-art, HD-ready and redundant. The SNG fleet is characterized by new high-performance antennas and higher transmitting power. The technology enables the vehicles to provide secure access to a wide variety of satellites.
