Amsterdam/Frankfurt am Main, September 10, 2007
Today at the International Broadcast Convention 2007 (IBC), the T-Systems unit Media&Broadcast und Radio Netherlands (Stichting Radio Nederland Wereldomroep) sealed a contract for the broadcast of the Dutch broadcaster's international shortwave program. The frame contract with a term of three years enables the customer to improve its geographic reach and more flexibly manage the time slots for its program feeds.
"To realize optimum coverage of our programmes to areas in Europe and Africa Radio Netherlands Worldwide needs shortwave transmission sites in more than one location with flexible available transmitters and antenna's" said Jan-Willem Drexhage, Radio Netherlands Worldwide Head of Programme Distribution.
T-Systems Media&Broadcast, with its well equipped transmission sites Nauen and Wertachtal is one of several contracted suppliers that can excellently deliver large parts of this service. Also digital DRM shortwave transmissions can be realized via these transmission sites. The high technical standard and the reliability of this service provider are also important factors.
