Cost-efficient network design instead of risky software planning.

Planning and implementing a digital terrestrial radio network is a highly complex task. Automated planning tools are still not up to the challenge. Solutions provided in this way are unable to predict sources of error, particularly in the implementation phase, resulting in costly and time-consuming corrective measures. Risks of this nature in network planning can only be avoided if there is expertise and experience to draw on. Knowledge of processes presupposes a day-to-day familiarity with a range of operational activities acquired over many years.

MEDIA BROADCAST has just such a knowledge base from which to draw, and does not sell any network planning systems for the aforementioned reasons. Instead, we offer our customers expert planning service. This service is based on our very own “IV Tool” developed in our laboratories. Using this, our planners are able to apply their own special knowledge to designing a network that is finely tuned and optimized to meet the customer’s individual requirements. The design we propose hardly deviates at all from the network coverage that is actually supplied later to our customer. We have been able to demonstrate this conclusively in our DVB-H networks in Germany and Qatar. Other examples are DVB-T networks that we have set up in Germany, Singapore and Taiwan as well as our DMB networks in Germany. These many successes mean that we are able to offer our customers a guarantee that the resources they have in terms of finances and time are used to the best possible advantage.
